This privacy policy explains which information is provided or, if applicable, collected and stored when using the website of DEMNER, MERLICEK & BERGMANN Werbegesellschaft mbH (hereinafter referred to as DMB) and how this data is subsequently protected by DMB.

Your privacy is important to us. Data is processed on the basis of the legal provisions of the GDPR, Sec. 96 of the Telecommunications Act (TKG) and Sec. 8 of the Data Protection Act (DSG).

Collection, processing and use of personal data

We only collect personal data if you voluntarily provide it to us while signing up for a newsletter. We use the collected data only for sending an electronic newsletter. Newsletter subscribers agree that DMB may store, process and, to the extent necessary, pass on their data to third parties (e.g. emailing of the newsletter by third parties) for the purpose of sending the newsletter and for marketing purposes. Each message you receive via the newsletter contains a link for withdrawing from any future messages. Use this link to unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.

Website hosting, maintenance and administration is carried out by Demner, Merlicek & Bergmann Werbeagentur GmbH. When you visit this website, the servers register information that your browser automatically sends each time you visit a website. These records may include information about your search request, web address, IP address, used browser, browser language, time and date of the request and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser.

This privacy policy applies to websites and services owned and operated by DMB or on behalf of DMB. We do not have any influence over links that emanate from our services. DMB processes personal data on its servers in Austria. In some cases we process personal data on servers outside of Austria. It is possible that we process personal data further in order to offer you our services.

In order to process any enquiries or to answer your questions, e-mails or other correspondence sent to DMB may be stored to improve our service.

Your personal data will not be associated or compared with other data but will only be used to provide the services you have requested (e.g. receipt of a newsletter).

Without your consent, we will not use your data for the purposes of personalised advertising, market or opinion research.

Personal data that you have voluntarily provided us with during registration can be stored for up to 10 years for commercial and tax law reasons.

Data transfer

Data which you have entered during registration or which has been automatically logged will only be transferred to third parties without your consent if we are obligated to do so by law or by court order or if such a transfer is necessary for bringing an action or for criminal prosecution in the event of attacks on DMB’s Internet infrastructure. The data will not be transferred for other non-commercial or commercial purposes.

The transferred data may be used by third-party service providers for the purpose for which we transmitted it to them only.

Use of a web analytics software

This website uses web analytics software (Piwik or Matomo). They use so-called cookies, which are text files that are stored on your computer to help the website analyse how you use the site. The information the cookie generates about your use of this website (including your IP address in anonymised form) is stored on your computer. The data is transferred to a server of the agency we hired in Austria and stored there. However, the data is only accessible to DMB or third parties we hire with web analysis and only evaluated by them. The data security complies with the latest data protection requirements. We use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities and to provide other services relating to website activity and Internet usage. Under no circumstances will we or a third-party we hired for website analytics associate your IP address with any other data that we have stored. You may prevent these cookies from being placed by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. However, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use the full functionality of this site. By using this website, you agree to the data collected about you being processed in the manner and for the purpose described above.

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service offered by Google Inc., (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, United States). The use includes running “Universal Analytics”. This makes it possible to assign data, sessions and interactions across multiple devices to a pseudonymous user ID and thus to analyse the activities of a user across devices.

Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, which are text files that are stored on your computer to help the website analyse how you use the site. The information the cookie generates about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the United States and stored there. However, in the event that IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will be truncated by Google within Member States of the European Union or in other States which are party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. The IP address transmitted by your browser with Google Analytics is not merged with other data from Google. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on the website activities and to provide further services to the website operator relating to website activity and Internet usage. Data processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests we pursue. The legal basis for using Google Analytics is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Sessions and campaigns end after a certain period of time. By default, sessions end after 30 minutes of inactivity and campaigns after six months. Campaigns cannot last more than two years. You can find more information on terms of use and the privacy policy at HTTPS://WWW.GOOGLE.COM/ANALYTICS/TERMS/DE.HTML or at HTTPS://POLICIES.GOOGLE.COM/?HL=DE.

You may prevent cookies from being stored by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. However, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use the full functionality of this site. Furthermore, you can prevent Google’s collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and Google’s processing of this data by downloading and installing the browser add-on. Opt-out cookies prevent your data from being collected when you visit this website in the future. To prevent Universal Analytics from collecting data across different devices, you must opt-out on all the systems you use. Click here to place the opt-out cookie: DISABLE GOOGLE ANALYTICS

Amendments to the privacy policy

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy at any time, in compliance with the applicable data protection regulations, if we deem it appropriate. If we make significant changes that affect the use or disclosure of your personal information, we will use reasonable efforts to notify you of the changes and provide you with the opportunity to withdraw your consent to the use of your information.

Right of access to information and right of withdrawal

You can obtain information about the data we store about you at any time, free of charge without giving reasons. You can have the data we collect blocked, rectified or erased at any time. You may withdraw the consent you have given us to collect and use your data at any time without giving reasons. Please note that this may also cause you to lose the services you have requested (raffle, newsletter, etc.). Please contact data-protection@dmb.at to this end.

Validity and accuracy of the privacy policy

By using our website, you consent to data being used as described above. This privacy policy is directly applicable and replaces all previous policies.
